About the Host
Zoë loves snow and mountains, finding her happiest moments in wild, remote places. Originally from Tennessee, she grew up following her dad around the woods. Zoë moved to Montana in 2014 to chase a life of endless adventures and discover new passions. After a decade in outdoor education, Zoë shifted her focus to forestry, driven by a passion for sustainable forest management. Her two Australian Shepherds, Ripley and Lucy, are her constant companions. Backpacking, snowboarding, gravel biking and a good walk in the woods are among her favorite activities. Zoë started Backcountry Bizarre to share the wild experiences all outdoor enthusiasts inevitably have and celebrate the crazy things that happen off the beaten path. Her favorite color is orange and her favorite food is breakfast burritos.
